EVERTRAK APPOINTS DENNIS MUILENBURG TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Seasoned Executive, Engineer, and Former CEO of Boeing
St. Louis – November 17, 2023 – Evertrak, a US veteran-owned manufacturer of industry leading Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer railroad ties made from recycled plastic, announces the appointment of Dennis Muilenburg to its board of directors of NICE Holding Co LLC, the parent of Evertrak LLC. Mr. Muilenburg, the Chairman & CEO, New Vista Capital and Chairman, Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Center St Louis, brings to the board a wide range of experience and insight in manufacturing, engineering, and management. He is the former Chairman, President & CEO of The Boeing Company and was elected a member of the National Academy of Engineering in 2018.
Mr. Muilenburg fills a board seat recently vacated by Jim Vena, who left Evertrak’s board after being appointed Chief Executive Officer of Union Pacific Corporation in August 2023.
“Evertrak restores vital infrastructure for our nation’s railroads, with a long-lasting product that diverts plastic from landfill and prevents deforestation,” said Dennis Muilenburg. “I look forward to working with Evertrak management to scale the operational and environmental benefits of Evertrak’s ties, invest in talent, and generate broad-based economic value.”
“We are thrilled and humbled to have Dennis on our team,” said Evertrak Founder & CEO Tim Noonan. “Each year, railroad operators replace more than 20 million wood ties – many of which last fewer than 10 years. Dennis’ extraordinary skill and experience in engineering and at-scale manufacturing will help guide and inspire Evertrak to a new level of excellence.
Evertrak – based in St. Louis, Missouri – is a veteran-owned business that provides living wages and benefits to our workforce, many of whom are formerly homeless and/or previously incarcerated citizens. Evertrak is the only composite tie manufacturer that holds the AMR M-1003 quality certification. Our Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer ties are manufactured from recycled plastic. Evertrak delivers value to railroad operations, and reduces deforestation, lowers CO2 emissions from wood tie disposal, sequesters plastic, and averts many waste streams from the landfill for decades.
